Vision for Agricultural Land Use – “Preserve our agricultural heritage while promoting managed housing and economic growth and development while maintaining our rural environment and lifestyle.
Goals
1. Encourage housing and development growth in established communities with infrastructure.
Strategies
A. Consider storm water and sub-surface drainage.
B. Freeze lot splits.
C. Limit driveways to ___ feet and encourage shared driveways.
D. Encourage growth around Washington Court House, Jeffersonville,
and Interstate 71 & RT 35.
2. Maintain prime agricultural land as farmland.
Strategies
A. Encourage best conservation practices to be followed.
B. Encourage more reliance on other forms of taxes besides real estate.
.3. More restrictions on selling off road frontage after buying
