Fayette County Demonstration Farm
Research and Events Conducted at the Fayette County Demonstration Farm
History of the Fayette County Demonstration Farm
In 1990, then Fayette County agricultural agent Larry Lotz, partnered with the Fayette County Commissioners to establish the Fayette County Research and Demonstration farm on the site of the former Fayette County Childern's Home. The 20 acre site has been used to test and showcase new technologies in the production of corn, soybeans, wheat, and alfalfa. Each year the farm hosts hunderds of producers from round the country at its annual diagnostic clinic and the Southwest Ohio Corn Growers Association Field Day.
